high rpm

yeah that's about right,

with my manual MPI i'm doing 3800rpm at 110 in 5th, (106 on my spedo) due to bigger tyres,
auto's are around 300rpm lower
some overseas differentials are lower so those RPM's wouldn't be unusual.

you are in a good power range at 3800-4000 and may older cars with 4speed boxes sit in this range at highway speeds, it's not fantastic but it's also not bad either.

Wehn driving with mud tyres on I often forget to change with the noise and sit at 4200 in 4th at 110kmh - no issues aside from the usual 4g94 oil usage at high rpm in older engines

From memory that seems a little high, what tyre size do you have ?

Happy io
