4g93 turbo

just wondering if anyone here has ever put a turbo on their IO. I know its the same engine they have in the lancer and there is a turbo kit for it.I just find while driving that trying to get up some hills I have to go back down to 3rd. Have also thought of upgrading exhaust system and air intake to see if they help before goibg to the extreme of a turbo.Any info you guys could give to get a bit more power out of the 4g93 would be most appreciated

Perhaps...

Maybe it's time to evaluate the condition of your current engine - personally I see nothing wrong with having to downshift to climb a hill, depending of course, on how steep the hill is...

Mitsubishi did offer a turbocharged version of the iO

There is (or was) a turbocharged version of the iO from the factory - using the 4G93 GDI engine.
