Why not add a section for Pajeros, the daddy Pajeros?

I started this because there

I started this because there was nothing for the baby pajeros and plenty of places for the others.

I could chuck up sections for the big ones but id be surprised if they got any activity?

When starting this website it was very important to exclude everything else so that all the search engines led people looking for IO information here. prior to this site searches were almost useless leading to nothing but the big brother pajeros, I found a few threads by Boboz on pajero forums, but it was clear there was not going to become a resource for us unless this was done.

The risk of getting lost in google to "normal" pajeros is probably gone now. but.... Do we want to go that way?

Personally, I say NO.

I'm a member of several "automotive" fora, both Suzuki & Mitsubishi, and this is the only forum where there is any appreciable activity regarding the iO - I found this place whilst searching for a softcopy of the service manual, joined so that I could download it, and stayed, and I'll probably be around for as long as I continue to own an iO.

I see no reason to include a section for the full size Pajero, about the only thing they have in common with the iO is the name, and the same goes, by the way, for the Pajero Mini & Pajero Jnr - nothing in common but the name - if we start expanding willy nilly where do we stop?  Can I ask for a section for the Lancer - yes, I have one of those, and it actually has more in common with the iO than the full size Pajero - or maybe I should ask for a section on the Suzuki Grand Vitara, just so I only have to visit one forum.

Not so. Sorry but I own(ed)  all three!  Plenty of similarities.

forum

The main problem in Australia is that  the io was only sold in Australia between 1998 and 2002, some very few sold in 2003, this made io owner a very small minority.  I mean, it could be weeks before you see one on the road ! The "big" pajero have been sold, and still are, in Australia for....a very long time,  joining them to the forum would make it flooded with them, not that there is anything wrong with that but it would make the io member a very small minority and make this forum a "big" Pajero forum mainly by number.

Happy io

Hello, I really enjoy it

Hello, I really enjoy it here, plenty of helps and some new friends now.

I appreciate that it is, at first, for the iO community.... around the world

Also a few sold in South

Also a few sold in South Africa, Botswana and Lesotho, I think keep it for the iO only as there's more than enough forums for the other pajero's

I have just bought a 2000

I have just bought a 2000 Pajero and it is so much like a Pinin (io) that I am shocked.

big pajero

yeah the 2000 uses same window switches, many interior parts etc -

the io fits style-wise in between the late 99 and the 2000 big pajero's - it's also built from the parts-bin of both
