Manual 2002 ZR 2 doors wrecking, body have been rolled, rear bumper and passager door ok. Most mechanical are still there but the transfer case and front diff....

Gear box and engine are available

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/city/cars-vans-utes/2002-mitsubishi-pajer...

EDIT ADD REMOVED. Let me know if you need something. Gearbox is sold and while the engine is running very well, I suspect a blown head gasket.

Bob,

I contacted Fabio about the engine, I understood that he is gone mad wink and have a crazy project for a engine swap. I think that my 2 litre engine is way too small for what he have in mind....winkmad....:)

I will put them aside for you. It should be around $25 freight included. Before I strip the car I would like to sell at least the 2 litre engine.

How big are you hand :) ?, regarding the number of wheel nuts. The guy kept some !!! I don't have much of them....5 ??

I have a gear box from a 2 litre engine, I am keeping the transfer case. While I am not 100 % sure that you can fit it on your car (I haven't done this swap myself). Most people think that it is a no problem, you will have to put your transfer case on it.

For your lift, if you buy the gear box, I will give you some spring for the rear of you io, from the mazda astina (used by many, me included) and I will make some spacer for your front strut. (again, same as mine that are on my car). That should give you around 45 mm lift.

Do you have a 2 doors or a 4 doors ?

I haven't decided on the price of the gear box, I will call the wrecker and will lower the price. Open to offer if you wish.

That sounds great thank you,

That sounds great thank you, if you can let me know how much I would really appreciate it. Let me know how much for the gear box.

I have the four door one, it is agreat little 4x4 and I am really impressed so far wth its capabilities. We have been on a few tracs here in melbourne, but I have avoided the rally muddy tracks asit is too low.

Kind regads

The gearbox is sold...Thanks Neil...

I tested the engine last week and found that it may have a blown head gasket (blowing white smoke when warm, water going in the cylinder I guess), I don't want to bother to repair it, and I don't need it, at the moment anyway.

Pajero io zr wrecking dismantling

I have been busy dismantling the rolled ZR. As I sold my engine crane a few years back, I decided to drop the complete front (engine, diff, steering, cross member suspension....), and lift the body instead. I just removed the all lot...and happy about it !

air cond line

I haven't done much on this car since my last post. But yes, I kept that line. As I have the extractors, I know exactly what you mean :)

You mentioned in another thread that you might weld it, I think that it is the rubber section that burned, not the alloy one...is it ?

$30 + freight

I have a passager door in good condition for sale. It does come from the car above (ZR 2 doors) pearl white in colour.  It will fit any 2 doors.

Going cheap as it takes room in my garage !!  $100 + freight.

Other bits

To help you clear out stuff have you got any small bits common to the Junior Claude??  I'd have had the seats if it had been practical.wink

Work in progress on my just acquired delapidated  2003 Vivo 11 Junior in need of TLC

Do it right, use Hammerite.

Why simpify when it is simpler to complicate.

clear out

If I make a couple more sell, good but I am not in a rush or care that much at all !! it is only advertised here (for now anyway). It was mostly to have a good stock of parts for me. A couple of month ago, the day before a long week end trip my CV boot got busted....fixed in 1 hour :)

You can have the seat , $10 each and $2000 for freight, how would you like to pay....lol....

Looks pretty close, I have

Looks pretty close, I have 302/13 not 302/14 as shown in yours above. Ideas on these numbers? Need the swing arc to be the same. Part number on rear is 34341-581.

Can you confirm mounting points are 265mm x 145mm x 157mm ?

rear wiper

The part number at the back is the same 34341-581 next to the plug. The measurement are more 263 mm 145 mm and 156mm but the bushes move a little and that could be the difference. Not sure what the other number are, I don't think that they are ref number.

Spare bashplate/under gaurd

Hi Claude,

Bit of a long shot but do you still have the bash plate/under gaurd for the ZR. I bought a 02 io SWB a couple of weeks ago the cover is missing (from front bumper and covers sump area). Before I go offroad or on beach I think I should get something to stop damage. Don't quite have the money to get something as awesome as the metal bash plate you and a few others have at the moment.

Cheers

Ben

bash plate

Welcome to the forum,

Yes, I do have the bash plate but the freight cost doesn't make it a good option. I checked Australia post parcel calculator and it comes up well over $100, mainly because of the size.

You still should be able to go out, but with some extra care.

If you want a cheap bash plate, a visit to the metal recycling to get a steel metal plate that you could cut with an angle grinder shouldn't cost you too much. I have posted the schematic of the plate here,  post 72.

http://pajerio.com/forum/bash-plate?page=1

Another option is your local wrecker.

Sorry....

Happy io
