Hi all,

2001 Pajero Pinin 2.0 GDI 4G94  I'm havin problema with power loss and the diagnosis is : P0303 cylinder 3 misfire

I installed 4 new NGK IZFR5B spsrk plug and  a new coil for the third cylinder, but the symptoms are the same,as is the error code.

What do you think is the problem ?

Injectors or high pressure pump ?

thank you

Giacomo

If you are sure its getting

If you are sure its getting spark..... Then it could be the injector drive unit..... Its the black box heat sink unit on the right hand side of the engine bay . Sits on top of the strut tower.

Hi kbushnz and thank you for answer

I'am sure i have spark at the spark plugs, but now a new error code has been added : P1221 throttle valve position feedback system, mhhhhh.......

Why do these engines have 2 ecu and in particular this MR507766 for the injectors ?

Hi Giacomo I hate it when you

Hi Giacomo

I hate it when you get numerous error codes...

It could be the main ECU on the way out.

Also check the wiring / plugs to the throttle and tps.

The fly by wire system can have issues... The motor which drives the throttle can fail.... The magnets on the motor fall off.

There are 2 TPS units per say. One on the throttle body .. One on the acelerator pedal. Either could be faulty...

Search the forum too.... Lots of little gems on info as I am sure it has been touched on before...

I had numerous error codes in multiple systems, SRS, 4WD, Engine.... It turned out the Auto ECU unit had a fault on the board.

Still drove ok but lit up like a chistmas tree. Took me weeks to solve it. Luckily I had a second scrap vehicle I could take parts from for trouble shooting.

Cheers

Calvin
