I have just had the A/C compressor refurbished as it had scores inside that were preventing it from pumping effectively (it had worn out!).  Before reinstalling the pump I have been advised to replace the filter (receiver) in case there is debris inside that could damage the pump again......especially as this is an old car and started life in the desert around Dubai.

I have searched for the part number which is MR460727 but it has been superseeded to 7812A003.  The trouble I now find is when putting that part number into google I get a load of Russian websites and would rather buy a part from the UK, Europe or worse case Australia or the US.

Has anyone else replaced their A/C filter and know if I have to use that part number or know of any after market filter that is compatible?

Cheers, Guy

filter

You can get that filter using "amayama.com" for about US$100 + freight

Never replaced mine when I had the car.

Thanks Claude

Sorry, long time reply!

I ordered from Amayama on 27th September and they have just dispatched today (8th Oct).  No problem as not in a hurry - they were the cheapest I could find too.

To conclude this

To conclude this thread.........

The new filter and re-built compressor have been installed and gassed up since Easter.  Car had had minimul use since then but plenty over the last two weeks and the A/C coped well in 32 degrees (feel like temp 40-41 - hot in Mallorca this year!).
