Trip review!

Ill get photos and videos up this avo but in the meanwhile.... the tracks were awesome, a little tough for my stock iO with road tires and my lack of 4wding experience which really showed haha.

With a little bit of rain the night before the tracks turned from hard clay and slippery rocks to mud & clay. Some of the tracks were rutted out quite badly and we ended up having to take a different path but it was all in good fun. Bobs locker got some use and made quick work with most of the slippery stuff. And Simmos auto work s treat and cruised through most obsticals.

While me and my road tires were quite often on the limiter or right up in the rev range trying to push through that mud.

We came to a hill climb where my lack of ground clearance held me back and I needed a pull from Simmo.

Another memorable part was when bob went straight for the mud pit and got himself nice and bogged 2 minutes into the track.

More later

Haply iO

trip

It was a great trip out - didn't get very far but had lots of fun. it was interesting that the tracks went from easy to near-impossible mainly due to ground clearance and traction in the mud.
Washing out the front of my Io after I had packed rocks and clay all around the steering rack, time for the bash-plate order I think :)

great fun and good to catch up with other Io owners, south-side expo next time :)
