Hello all,

Have tried searching the website (and googling for quite a while...) with no success.

Trying to find a picture or two of the engine mounts used for the 4g94 (or 93...) in north / south config.

& also how they bolt to the engine: where abouts under the manifolds.

Would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Nick.

engine mount

Engine mount are not the same on the 4g94 and the 4g93; go to resource, download the workshop manual, then go to pinin 2 and then to power plant mount ( file 32 ). New from Mitsubishi, they cost around $250 to $300 each....

Link to the manual, http://pajerio.com/forum/pajero-io-workshop-manual-complete-zip-file

Claude, thanks for the prompt

Claude, thanks for the prompt reply.

Had a look through the manual (cheers for the direct link!). Can't really see what I'm after in the manual.

Hmm, in my initial post I should of included I'm not just after a picture of engine mounts, more so where the engine mount brackets bolt to the block.

Chers for the help.

Nick.

PS: Just for some back story. I'm wanting to compare the engine mounting bolts (as in where the bracket bolts up to the block) to the block used in FWD applications.

So, if I understand corectly you want to know if the engine mount are the same on the Lancer and the io ? I would say that it is, mainly because one of the member had it done on his car before he bought it. http://pajerio.com/forum/todds-io

As my car is waiting for some parts and I could try to take some pictures, the result is not the best but It still should give you an idea. Looking at the bolt on the sump could be a guide....

Yeah, spot on. Thanks for the link to the other thread; good to know someone has used a lancer engine for the purpose of north south mounting.

Photos do help a bit. Give me a general idea. How many bolts hold the brackets to the block on each side? Can only be 2 or 3 I'm guessing? Was actually expecting it to be a bit more substantial than that.

Just doing some research at the moment, I've got a 4g94 in my shed I've had rebuilt (with some pricey bits) for my lancer. But having second thoughts that it will be wasted in a fwd... so I'm wanting to know if it is possible to use that block in a RWD application, as in, is the block strong enough to have mounts made for the sides of it.

Looks promising so far.

Thank you for the help Claude.
