cabin air cleaner/filter

yep, you are right, I checked it myself and there is no cabin filter... it looks like the hole behind the glove box could accomodate a filter, but there is no original part you can fit in. anyway, I cleaned up the blower, it is better now. However, heater resistor failed (blower doesn't work on level 1 and 2, it just failed on 3 as well), assume that's because of the initial blockage of the blower.
Yeah, when you search on ebay

Interesting.
Well - ADC42503 does NOT fit.
After driving around for years without a cabin filter, I decided to fit one - the filters in two halves the perfect size to fit into the opening shown - but too long to slide sideways, as shown, and too long for the cap to fit over the opening.
I did a little more digging.
Parts catalogs for the Japanese market vehicles (mine is used JDM) don't show the cabin filter, but I was able to find it in the catalogs for the European market models, and the ADC42503 does cross reference to the OEM part number - so the reason it doesn't fit is most likely some difference in between the two models.
Ok so this is an old post I
Ok so this is an old post I realize, but the key to the Io air filter is that it's two parts, and gets pushed up in the space. No way I could have figured this out.
This is how... I found some polish filters that work perfect.
Cabin filter
There isn't one, on my car at least. If you remove the glove box, you will find behind it a small trap (about 10cm x 3cm) that you can open with a small flat screwdriver. This does give you a small access to the top of the fan, it might be enough to clean the area.
Happy io
