I have the two green lights flashing on the super select display on my instrument panel. The 4X4 is still operation and working fine. The lights are annoying the hell out of me. After finding this website and recently joining ( very impressed at the wealth of info mind you) and doing abit of reading i have come to the conclusion that one and /or more of the detector switches which are connected to the transfer case are faulty.

I reside in Australia, it would be appriecated if anyone could tell me the Price ,size and where to buy these switches? or even better part numbers.

cheers

Welcome to Pajerio.com

I'll let one of your fellow aussies answer the where to get & price questions, I just want to make sure you know that flashing front wheel lights may not be a defective switch, it can also be caused by a loose or leaking vacuum hose (one of several) and also loose or broken wires - in one recent case, it seems to have been caused by a stuck free-wheel clutch, which you can check for quite easily - with the car in 2WD and the engine idling, slide under it and try to twist the front drive shaft (from the transfer case to the front differential), it should turn in 2WD.

The 4WD will appear to work if the free wheel clutch is stuck in the engaged position, but when in 2WD the front axles will still be connected to the diff, causing it to rotate and increasing your fuel consumption.
