Double email notificarions

It did not do it in the past, But im getting 2 emails to notify me of new replys. anyone else getting this? Is it something I need to fix or is it OK?

also, how often do you want your subscription notifications sent? there currently immediate, would once a day be better?
Users can change this option in there account settings anyway, so ill just leave it as is for now.

I've been getting multiple notifications of posts for a couple of weeks now - anything between 1 and 4 notifications for each new post on threads Ive contributed to. It's getting to where I think I'll opt out of this feature.
