You have to help us to help you.

It's difficult to even start figuring out where a problem might lie when you know almost nothing about the vehicle you're dealing with.

The Pajero iO was sold with at least five different engines, a 1.6, 2 x 1.8 & 2 x2.0 - the 1.8 & 2.0 could be either MPI (multi-port injection) or GDI (gasolene direct injection), the next thing I'd be curious about is which gaskets were changed, and why, as a general rule, people don't change gaskets unless there is a leak, or they do it in the course of replacing whatever component the gasket seals, in which case, they'll mention changing the xyz component and not even mention the gasket.

I've changed the cam cover gasket on my iO, because it was leaking, I've also changed a couple of others in the intake, because I took the intake apart whilst taking the engine out.

Is your check engine light on when the engine is running, if it is, have you checked to see what codes are detected?

Engines that run the way you describe, good when cold and then dieing when hot, will typically do so because the ECU runs them "open loop" (ignoring the signals from various sensors) during the warm up period, and then switches to "closed loop" (uses the signal from the sensors to control the engine) once the engine is warm - you may have a defective sensor, and in most cases, the ECU will set a code when a sensor fails.

Thank you, yeah i changed the gasket because I found oil in my plug well so I thought I'd fix it. When I'm driving it there's no light on the dash when it starts playing up which I thought Was strange. I'm not sure where the ecu is but il have a look on YouTube and see if I can fix it. Thank you very much for your help
