i recently bought a 2003 Pajero iO H77W LRUER 4G94 SOHC MPI, problem is the vehicle cranks over but will not start, i get no spark from the ignition coils, i changed crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor and still the same problem, i own a Galant so i just plugged in both coils on my Galant to test and sure enough both coils work just fine, i am leading to ECU MR578645 (which i researched and can only find in Russia for way too much money) which i am not sure works, or am i missing something??? and i dont think this vehicle has an immobiliser because its japanese made and i opened the key and i dont seem to a find rfid chip, any help or knowledge on this issue i would very much appreciate

Do you have power to the coils?

The coils have a three wire connection - ground, +12V power and the drive signal from the ECU, if you have no power to the coils there will be no spark.

Does the check engine light come on when you turn the ignition on?

There is a workshop manual

There is a workshop manual you can download on this site in the /resources section.

Inside is the electrical trouble shooting guide for the new MPI motors. it goes through symptom and causes with pages of electrical procedures to test i.e. test plug volts etc etc.

If you have a multimeter you can test with it including sensors etc.
