no - not 100% confirmed

..but it should - i cannot see why it wouldn't, the cases are identical, the innards are identical except for a bearing revision around 2001.

the crossmember mounts are different but they bolt into the same place on the box i.e. 4 x bolts up into the underside of the transfer box for manuals, 2 x bolts for autos

the 4G93 and 4G94 engines have the same bellhousing pattern, same clutches will fit, same flywheels, manuals have the same output shaft diamter and spline count etc between 1.8/2.0/GDI/MPI. input shaft has same locating spiggot and uses same bearing for support (in same clutch kit)

the 1.6 engine and box though is a totally different variant and is slightly different, same goes for 1.6L rear ends i.e. diffs and axles - all smaller....

gearbox

I found on "Amayama" that they have different part number....This said, I would "think" that they are the same, but it could be an expensive  try if it fail.

You still haven't told us what is wrong with your gear box.....Have you found one ?

Happy io

gear box

Not sure what you are doing but....If you are looking for a manual gear box, I will have a spare one to sale soon. From a 2 litre...cheap ! transfer case not included.

They have internal

They have internal differences (diffrent 5th gear ratio) which explains the different #number, but that doesn't mean you can't swap them
