Hello,

As you know I have sold my io a while ago. I was making front spacer for people. Time for me to move on and I do not wish to make those anymore but I still have some material left.

I have a black acetal (polyoxymehylene) rod of about 80cm long with a diameter to match the built of the spacer (custom order).

Acetal is way superior and expensive than nylon and so far none that I have sold have reported ANY problem. Nylon do last around a couple of year before deteriorating.

If this does interest someone for the full rod or for some slice that you will have to machine (fairly easy for a handy person) ...make me an offer.

MUST and WILL go :)

Happy io

slice

Hi Claude

I wouldn't mind a couple of slices. Can you freight them to Kenya?

slice

More than happy to. You need to tell me the thickness of the slice and the town in Kenya to able me to get a freight cost. At that stage freight should be between AUD30 and AUD60, slice will be around AUD15 each.

Thanks

spacer on ebay WARNING

WARNING

You can find some spacer on ebay, they are made of Polyurethane (Nylon) and of very low quality. Another big problem with those are the amount of material left, nearly none, next to the fixation hole on the outside diameter....those will crack and deteriorate quickly....as reported to me by our friends in Brazil

The material I have left is MUCH better quality, and have the best possible outside diameter to fit our io. These will never crack, and the surface pressing on the body is at least 30% more than the one on ebay.....

I will put a picture of mine to show you the difference in size a bit later....

Are you still making Front spacers?

Hello Claude,
do you still have some material, time and the will to produce 1cm front strut spacer for an io in need?
I could also need the middle cut out to use it as spacer for the aluminum guide plate on my winch. As you showed us in one of the forums!

Looking forward to hear back from you.
Happy io, Phil

I bought alluminium round bar

I bought alluminium round bar and made my own front spacers. Not to difficult and installation was also easy thanks to all the info on this forum. Coil springs were manufactured by Pretoria springs and fitted, like the lift, once the current tyres need replacement I go a bit bigger. Andre from South Africa.
