Pajero Pinin 2001 key fob replacement
Hello guys,
I am in dire need for help and I searched the internet for any possible help with no success
I have a 2001 Pajero Pinin with the VIN JMP0NH77W1X004442
I need a key fob replacement. I live in Germany so I bought this: https://www.autoschluessel-online.de/mitsubishi/outlander/autoschluessel...
I was only able to program the original key fob. I did ground pin 1 and pressed the hazard lights 6 times. The only this I was able to program is the original key fob that is falling apart.
I was quite content to find a key that has two buttons and the key itself in one unit but I can’t program it. The frequency that the original transmits at is 433.9 MHz and the new one too. I have a spectrum analyzer and that’s how I was able to test if the new key even sends a signal.
My old fob looks like that: https://amzn.eu/d/fAYsINL
Is there any way to program the new key fobs to the Pajero? Is there any key fobs that have buttons and key blank in one unit?
Thank you for your help
The first key
The first key you showed is the style my Pajero iO came with, I tried programming another outwardly identical key and failed, I could get into programming mode, but not program the key and I assumed it was not compatible with the vehicle. Rather than faff around trying fobs & keys, and unwilling to pay 300+ USD$ for an OEM key, I fitted an aftermarket alarm system with keyless entry.
Fitting that was also a challenge, a task that would normally take perhaps half an hour ended up in a week long struggle culminating in my removing the ETACS module from under the dash and modifying it so it would communicate with the aftermarket alarm system.
