Pink pipe sealant

The metal coolant pipe runs along the side of an MPI engine, goes around the back and is connected to a trangular chamber (held on by 3 10mm bolts) on the back of the cylinder head  This pipe is sealed into this trangular thing with pink sealant.  Does anyone know what that sealant is and where I might get some?  Can I just use any old high temp stuff?

I'm pretty certain ...

that pink sealant didn't come from the factory.  The pipe should have an O-ring seal where it goes in to the outlet.

You are correct FORDEM.  I spoke to Mitsubishi today and there should only be an O ring.  The sealant must have been packed in there at some point.

That's an easy fix! smiley
