Hi, has anyone in Australia had any experience programing a new key to their vehicle? I have had 2 reports from my locksmith, one says he can, one says its risky and may go into lockdown mode. Any experiences would be appreciated.

regards Stuart

It's in the manual, you can do it yourself

There is a downloadable manual in the resource section, the programming instructions are in there, you can do it yourself, and I don't think there is any risk of a 'lock down"

As far as I know, these vehicles are not immobilizer equipped, programming the key just allows it to be used to remotely lock/unlock the doors

Thank you, My Aussie i0 is

Thank you, My Aussie i0 is immobilised. I eventually found a locksmith willing to take on the task of cloning the chip in the key head. All works well now.
