replace front diff mount

Just replaced my front diff mount rubber.

Bought the replacement insert from FEBEST in USA, $23 delivered to australia.

the diff mount has 3 mounting bolts, two are easily accesable on the back but the third is ontop of the crossmember pointing up at the engine sump - you can get it out with an offset ring spanner 14mm and squeeze it between the power steer hard lines and the sump from the front, takes some twisting and shoving but it wil fit - you get about 1/12th of a turn pr cycle but it gets it out eventually

The front diff needs to be jacked up to get the mount out underneath - I found jacking gently under the fill plug of the diff was perfect, raise it up to within a 1/2" of the sump and the mount will clear the freewheel and come out the back.

$30 at a local gararge to press out / in the rubber and back in. I cleaned up the top mounting bolt ona  wire wheel and oiled the thread and that allowed it to catch and go straight in without issue - you cannot get onto the bolt with your fingers, just the tip of one finger on one hand and the tip of another finger on your other hand to wind it in a turn.

gentle levering of the diff backwards helped get the big 100Nm 17mm bolt in place and all done.

results - no vibration when in 4wd - WIN!!
