They secure to that tab you

They secure to that tab you can see in the rail. Once you get them it'll make sense.

One of the tabs let go on mine so I ended up having to drill out the tab and my roof and I put some stainless blind rivets in with a healthy dose of silicon and it seems to be holding up well.

Well my bars have arrived smiley, only thing is i think my roof is missing the brackets no

I can see where the midle bit fits on but i dont have these brackets on my roof to slide the end bits into , i think i might have to try and make some somehow.

My suggestion ...

My iO's in the shop having the engine rebuilt, but I should have it back within a week or so, and I'll be able to get you pictures then.

I wouldn't bother going to the wreckers - the front & rear feet are secured by two bolts at each end - I think they are 8mm diameter, and not more than 15mm or so long - I would get some plate, drill a couple of holes to match the spacing of the feet, weld the bolts to the plate, position it over/in the channel and then weld the plate to the roof.

Basically I'd be duplicating the center mount that you have shown.

sorted

Its rained nearly all day and not long stopped and it was a bit late to start working on the shogun so i deciced to have a go at the rails instead .

Ive welded the bolts direct to the roof and trimed the blaclk plastic insearts to fit beween the rails feet, im quite happy with the result, now to gete a basket and some lights fitted to the roof yes
