Hi all,

I hope I'm doing this right, not posting somewhere I shouldn't be etc.

I've had my IO since new, bought in Nov 99. Done 230000 trouble free kilometres.  I've been a very bad Mum.  I have been super lax on just about everything.  And this little champion just keeps on keeping on. Admittedly, it has only ever had Optimax/V Power fuel the whole of its life.  I lived on a farm for the first 6 years, the 10km around the farm was dirt roads as well so it's had a lot of shaking up.

Besides a minor issue with the ignition ($30 plug in part no worries)  Just took off all the keys on the keyring as mechanic suggested.  Still have original clutch, suspension (yes shagged, but not willing to spend so much on a car worth nothing now), and everything else pretty much. I refuse to pull apart the dash, let alone let anyone else do it. As you all know, being a somewhat rare vehicle, was not willing to let any stereo cowboys butcher my baby.  I can't stand cabin rattles, but put up with the suspension.   I thought I had to change a lightbulb once but just screwed it back in and a-o-k.

I'm surprised to see the threads on issues with this car.  I couldn't think you could neglect a car any more than I have and it has never had an issue.  Even the battery in it is 9 years old.

I have a Chrysler Crossfire as well, as my bit of fun.  Have recently joined a Crossfire forum, so came looking for one about my IO.

My IO has plenty of rattles in the back end, and have seen (on these forums) other guys have this problem.  Being a woman though, I am not at all mechanically minded.  I must admit I'm more interested in cosmetic changes.  I look forward to reading all your contributions and thanks for having me :)
