engine Management light

having a problem with the management light, it came on about two weeks ago after i filled the car with supermarket fuel, mate of mine turned light out with his code reader , stored code was 3rd cyl misfire, however car was running fine, the light came back on when i left car ticking over on the drive, after a couple of days it went out again, however tonight whilst sitting at a junction trying to get out into traffic its come back on, seems it doesnt like idling for too long , any ideas

Where are you from? Is this a gdi motor?

GDI

The GDI motors foul easily with poor fuel - the throttle body will carbonise requiring cleaning.

We don't bother running the GDI's in australia as we also have poor quality high-sulphur fuel that results in GDi carbonisation.
