Funny you should ask...

I've just signed up with a freight forwarder from Germany to buy some European tapware for a new house (€681 in Germany, $3500 in NZ!)

http://www.mailboxde.com/

I haven't used them yet so this isn't a recommendation, but I have signed up and they appear legit to me.

Germany freight forwarding

Seeing as people are looking at parts on eBay.de, heres an update on this service I mentioned a month or so back. Basically everything went very smoothly - forwarding cost via DHL was reasonable, goods arrived a couple of weeks after they were sent, highly recommended if whatever you're buying can only be sent within Germany.

same here

I orderd a euro-style transfer gear knob and it arrived without a hitch. good test object, total postage was around $14

I've just ordered something that will push the limits of the forwarding service:  very very large and heavy, right on the limits of what chech mail will send.

will keep you informed if it comes through OK and will hopefully we can copy it and make an awesome product available to all Io owners :)
