I purchased a new car yesterday.

Relax, it is another iO. I got it from eBay and I have not decided to either fix it up and re register it or to use it as parts in my current iO. It was the right price, I got it cheaper than what it was listed for. I will be picking it up some time this week.

Here it is:

Cheers
Glendon.

Hey Claude!!!

This guy's got a spare manual transfer case - came with the car - tell him to install it and sell you the old one.wink

Was it common for Australian iOs to come with that little switch panel to the right of the steering wheel?  My car has a little plastic cubby hole there - too small to really be useful, and I'm looking for the panel so I can mount a spot light switch - might cover the cubby over with aluminum sheet.

Yeah my iO has my spotties

Yeah my iO has my spotties switch on that panel and the dash light brightness, and one free one. The new iO has just the dash light brightness.

ebay.au didn't have any

A search of ebay Australia didn't turn up any, ebay UK has a couple but no one willing to ship into the caribbean...

As fas as I can tell the three switches are usually dash brightness, headlight adjustment (if fitted) and either a fog switch or a combined fog/spot switch - I just bought a pair of the original german made Hella 500 lamps off ebay to put on my iO, haven't decided yet how I'm going to wire them, haven't checked yet to see if the vehicle has either the original fog or spot wiring, I'll probably just build my own harness.

Ok well when I get it home,

Ok well when I get it home, I'll investigate what is wrong with it and then sell off what is not needed.

washer reservoir

i'm deadly keen to pick up an old-style washer reservoir, the type that sits down below the air box as opposed to the one ontop of the strut tower. Would want tank, washers, mounting bolts and wiring and tubes back to the firewall.

Let me know!!
