Subject sais it all. Maybe a rebuild kit is an option instead?
While im at it, wheres a cheap place for all replacement parts. I had to replace a coil today and the cheapest I found was Repco at $129. Then 144 and 160 else where.
$66 + $15 on ebay, so i think ill get the second one on ebay, ortho $40 including delivery from USA may be an option.

Luckily haven't had a problem

Luckily haven't had a problem with the power steer yet. Cheapest places for parts I've found so far is mostly eBay and my local Global auto spares. This week was the last straw with our local Mitsubishi dealer they quoted me $325 for each coil pack so $650 for 2! Got lancer CH coils from the local wrecker instead, they appear to be identical, going to pop them in tomorrow to see if they cure my misfiring condition. For reference found that our UJ's are the same as L200 UJ's. Dealer price was around $125 each, I think I paid around $30 each for the ones at Global.

Hey glen, i think my power

Hey glen, i think my power steering pump is stuffed too. The engine is making a whiny sorta scraping noise and it seems to be coming from the front near the power steering pump. Where did u get your replacement? does that sound like the same issue you had?

Hi all Old thread but nothing

Hi all

Old thread but nothing more recent on power steering noises.  About to pull my power steering pump to either repair or replace.  Any new advice on finding a replacement pump or parts to fix?  Same noisy symptoms that others have reported here.

Cheers

Justin
