Ok this is a scary thing to see, on my cylinder 1 plug (closest to the radiator) I have oil on the plug after my service but not on the other. The oil on the other plug are from the plug spanner. The only logical thing i think is that the seal of the crank chamber is leaking into the spark plug chamber. Has anybody seen this before? Any advice please?

Not so fast

Ok, from what I can see it is the top of the plug that is oily, not the electrode or section that sits inside the cylinder.
The tube through the rocker gallery that you get to the plugs from has o-rings top and bottom from memory, my guess is that one needs replacing and that what you are seeing is just the rocker cover leaking onto the outside of the plug.

The only important thing with plugs is that the ends inside the engine are a consistent colour, typically a milk coffee colour, not black and greasy (oil problem) or pale, white or blotchy (plug temp too hot / engine too lean) or covered in shiny little beads (pre-ignition or ultra high temp I.e. thrashing and the beads are melted tin or aluminum from your pistons dying)

Check the electrodes, tell us what you find

spark plug and oil

Fully agree with Bob, the oil is coming from the outside, and the seal from the tube is probably damaged or worn. I use to have a old Toyota Corolla with similar tubes. After a while I had too much oil on the top of the spark plug, and the connection to it  would get damaged by the hot oil and it would earth the spark too.

I haven't work on the io engine and I can't advise you to how fix the pb, but you may have to remove the rocker cover to access the tubes, on the Corolla, they use to come out once the spark plug were removed.

Happy io

I'll second what Claudio has

I'll second what Claudio has said.

It's a cheap and easy fix.  Haven't personally done it on an io but did hundreds of Corollas during my time at a Toyota dealership.  It's basically the cost of the o'rings which should give you change out of $5.  Do all of them whilst you're at it.
