Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can get new door checks for my Pajero IO? For those who dont know its the mechanism that keeps the door from closing/opening too far. Mine are knackered and the doors keep closing in the wind or even a slight breeze, this is especially annoying with the back door when loading anything.

Problem is you need a door check for each door, each one specific to the door. Any ideas or are there places to get parts online? Ive tried everywhere. Any Brazilian friends out there know of any good sites to get some parts for a TR4 maybe? I know they still make them there.

New or SH?

If you look for new, I'm waiting a quote from "Blue print parts"

For something second hand.. check e-bay

Thanks Guys,

Ive enquired with Mitsubishi South Africa, ive got a quote ex Japan for around R1500 (USD$127) for new door checks for all 5 doors! Didnt know there would be parts for the IO through Mitsubishi SA. Mind you, the radiator i enquired about was R6800 (USD$550) ex vat D:

Spares in South Africa

Hi, I am in Randburg and get all my parts from Mitsubishi Randburg, I looked at a lot of online stores for parts and the killer is not the prices of the parts but the shipping cost which is sometimes double the cost of the parts. That is when I decided to get my parts from Mitsubishi. You will find some parts is quite expensive but other very reasonable. I done a lot of work to my io in repairs and if I had to buy from online store it would have cost me more than double.
Just my 2c

Enjoy

Part Numbers

Hi Red Daug,

These are part numbers I got from Mitsubishi South Africa, whether they are internal or universal im not sure.

1 Door Check Front L5702A075 (L & R?)

1 Door Check Rear L5702A083 (L & R?)

1 Door Check Boot L5702A082

Just looking at these now, i think there is a door check per door; ie there should be 5 part numbers.

ll confirm with Mitsubishi South Africa and see if theres a part per door and not per front or back.

Regards,
