I blew my stock front left and now just this week stock front right speaker in the door wells... Running in combination with upgraded head unit and 1600w amp to 1200w 12" sub! And by blown I mean they still work smicko it's just they vibrate and have broken/shagged rubbers, a little on the tired side..

I am assuming the fronts are 6 inch and the rear's are 4 inch? Might not replace the rear as you CANNOT hear them over the rear sub anyway..

Anyone have any reccomendations for replacement? Has anyone gotten away with a 6x9 or 6.5 inch replacement with some modification? Have seen a lot of 6.5 inch replacements coming onto the market with that 4 in 1 tech with inbuilt mini sub & tweeter etc surely we could squeeze an extra half inch in the door well?

Let us know your ideas and suggestions!! It's not a huge issue yet if I hear them vibrating you just turn it up a few decibels winkwinkwink

speakers

I'd try and fit a 6x9 in the rear but no idea if ity would fit in your spot - i'm going to have to do a fair amount of cutting to get it to fit in the back of my 2door

maybe a 6" round three way etc in the front doors

I had 6x9's in the rear of my old Feroza and they kicked SO hard!! The ones with the sub/tweeter/speaker in them, I had sony xplod's I think from memory and regardless of what you read online they were blasted daily for 2 years and didn't distort or break! Only around $100 on special back in those days

Seen the super cheap / repco fathers day sales are coming up and might grab 2 new 6" for the front laugh

6x9

yeah cannot beat a good 6x9 - given my player is an alpine i'll probably brand match BUT i always found that the kenwoods gave better bass than the sony xplode - sony gave better high-end
