Has any one installed a timing belt kit to a 2002 io, any problems, do we have a manual for a 2002 io 4g94 engine on this site?

Timing belt

I did my 4G93 - nothing unusual about it and all the details are in the manuals.

Automatic?

Gerryt, is your car an automatic? If it is, the first problem that you will face is how to stop the engine from rotating while you try to undo the big bolt in the front end of the crankshaft.

There is a tool for this (see manual), but you probabably don't have one in your toolbox.

If you undertake this task, I suggest that you have another car for transport. Also, do the work where you can leave the car in bits for a week or so, if you strike any hitch-ups.

Some people think that its good to replace the oil seals at the same time, while you have access.

Best wishes.
