Parts

I need to check for the seat belt but I do have the clock spring...easy one to damage if you don't know it is there !! Mine is from a 2001 2 litre but I 90% that they are the same

New they should be around $100 ?  Yours for $45 + freight (estimate at $8.50)

I will check for the seat belt.

ok i think i made a mistake i

ok i think i made a mistake i dont need the clock spring its the pad in the air bag which is stuffed upon further investigation  so i see there are fixes on youtube on how to use tape to fix it but i may just wire in a momentary switch for the horn instead  sounds safer

but still need the seat belt

parts

I will check for the seat belt. I have a complete steering wheel in good working order but I am not sure what you mean by the "pad in the air bag" Do you have a link of that youtube fix.

Seat belts can be washed...

Entirely your choice but seatbelts are fairly easy to disassemble and the webbing can be removed, washed & replaced.

Pull the webbing all the way out and you'll see how it attaches to the reel - typically it goes into a slot and on the other side of the reel is retained by a rod or wedge in a loop of the web - push the web back into the slot, slip the wedge out of the loop and then pull the web through.

VERY IMPORTANT - do NOT let the reel spin back - pass a flat blade screwdriver or something similar through the slot so that the reel cannot turn and put it in a safe place.

Drop the web in a bucket of soapy water - laundry detergent is fine, swish it around, then lay it out flat and scrub with a brush - rinse throughly, air dry & reassemble.
