Hi I have a 2.0gdi.
It won't rev over 4k revs and if you accelerate it pops back.

I have changed could packs, spark plugs, o2 sensors, airflow meter, micro fuel filters, fuel filter in tank.

It's like the car is running rich any other ideas ?? Egr valve ??

Do you know the history of the vehicle?

How long has the problem been happening?

One of the common problems with the GDI engines is that they suffer from a carbon buildup in the intake valve throats and on the back of the intake valves that prevents the engine from "breathing" properly - Mitsubishi supposedly has a cleaning procedure that removes the carbon without disassembling the engine - it supposedly involves blowing crushed walnut shells through the intake.

Without that, the alternative would be to pull the cylinder head and do an old fashioned "decarbonize" job.
