Hi all,

I love my Pajero IO (1.6L '99 model) but it has had more than its fair share of problems :P

Could anyone please point me to the wiring diagram for the 4G18 engine (including location of ECU). I can't seem to find it anywhere in the resources.

Thanks a tonne, and best of luck with your IOs!

Cheers,

Matt

Sorry - no diagram

But if the engine ECU is what you're looking for, check under the dash on the right hand side.

wreckers

gumtree or ebay search for pajero io and you'll land a few - mostly VIC or western sydney.

probably also find generic ES lancer alternators are compatiable

Your idle air controller (mounted under your throttle body) sounds stuffed, just like mine. If you have the 1.6L your looking at around AU$450 for a new one from Mitsubishi.  I am yet to find an after market one.  If you have the 1.8L or 2L have a look on ebay as their are a few on their for them.

Edit - It could also be your camshaft position sensor.
