This is my local 4x4 pit. Just off the A6 in Bedfordshire.

Generally it is a bit too well rutted by Landrovers for anything smaller to get round.

The wife and I threw caution to the wind and went for it anyway. We got round most of the red track apart from the deep fording sections.

This is the start, it could have all ended here if we didn't have the ground clearance to get down the rutted slope.

There was a fair bit of scraping on the bash plate but we kept on chuggin.

Hmmm, some wet stuff..

We kept on trucking round the course...

The ground started getting a bit more tricky..

That right hand path had us at some serious lean angles. Kept losing traction and sliding down to the wall. Gunned it up there eventually though.

There are some places where you can really sling the mud as well.

And some bits that can be easy looking and catch you out.

The fresh mud on the left there is from people slamming the left of the front bumper into the wall.

Got the old girl nice and muddy,,,

Lent a helping hand to some other locals..

Then we took a break to watch the big boys go at it...

That guy got stuck....

He didn't and neither did this guy. He took a massive run up and just powered his way up the really steep hill.

It was a brilliant day with friendly people and so I would say it is well worth the £26 for the day.

The look on some of the Landrover drivers faces as the little Mitsu kept chugging round was priceless.

Can't wait to get the Pinin a bit more rugged and attack it again.

.

Very nice track, good to see you went alright even though your running stock.

You guys have some nice Landrovers over there, I would love one like the two door in the last photo, but you just cant get something like that in Australia. :(

Thanks guys.

It really took some thinking going round some parts of the course but I was impressed with the cars capability.

Wife did most of the driving

Wife did most of the driving but I had a naughty go as it was private land.

Can't wait to get it all muddy by myself.
