Hello, I have just installed an electric locking differential on my Pinin.

After a test, the result is very conclusive, especially on a car of this weight.

The electrical control was carried out on an original circuit, to avoid the complicated installation of a dedicated network.

Operation is very smooth whether when engaging or releasing the system.

Very satisfied with this assembly and this equipment.

Some images to follow.

Frankly I don't know how this

Frankly I don't know how this works.

The contact does not move any part in the differential but must create a mechanical opening which activates a sliding of the two cut-off discs which push the locking rods.

To block, the motor shaft must be driven.

Without driving torque it is not blocked.

This is a Marxxon manufactured part.

I just noticed that the title of this article has not been translated into English

My guess...

I could be wrong, but, my guess is it's a Chinese copy of an Eaton/Harrop design - the second picture shows a "shallow vee" which is similar to the ramp mechanism that they use.

Apparently the blocking

Apparently the blocking system seems similar to the US model.

The part at Eaton Elocker is offered at approximately double the price of the Chinese model

Just a difference that allowed me to acquire this equipment at a reasonable cost for a fairly old car.

In addition, the differential body is guaranteed for 5 years.

After testing this equipment

After testing this equipment in condition, I wanted to share with you its effectiveness.

Already the control is extremely smooth, no hard engagement of gears and the disengagement is also flexible I can use it for a few seconds if necessary.

On a fairly severe climb with a big diagonal rut, the car climbed extremely easily.

It's quite surprising and formidable for crossing.

Very happy with this assembly.
