I can't get the lower part of the drop link(s) off my 2.5 Paj.  I thought I'd ask here incase someone can give me some ideas.  It is this type of link.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371213306144?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

The bottom bush is solid on the 'pin' on the lower wishbone.

I then tried removing the sway/anti-roll bar complete hoping to just take off the drop links on the bench but with the old drop links firmly stuck to the lower wishbone I gave it up.  Any help would be appreciated. THanks

Do it right, use Hammerite.

Isn't it just a rubber bush?

If it is, I would use a sharp knife and cut it away, and then remove whatever rubber remains bonded to the control arm with a wire brush.  If has a steel sleeve (as the eye part of the bush in the picture does) then you'll probably need to cut the drop link.

.

I think that yes it is a rubber bush but it may have the metal sleeve rusted on the shaft. A knife might not be useable here as he may not have the space between the outer and inner sleeve. Maybe a hammer and small chisel (for timber) to cut the rubber between the outer and inner sleeve, then a good set of pliers or angle grinder to remove the inner sleeve.

Have fun !

Thanks for the advice. I understand the studs that the link is on can easily break off.  I wanted to remove the sway bar from the top of the drop link but even that would not come off.  If I could have lifted the ARB off the drop links I could have gotten better access to the links.
