ECU flashing
I am trying to get my ECU flashed... so far it can be done.... and expectation are to gain around 10 % power and around 15 % torque.
Because the io is not in big number on the road, I haven't found anything that seems to help for the io....the cost for the flash is high as everything have to be done from the beginning. I have found on a old posting pajero forum someone that have a 2 litre with apparently bigger injector and a flashed ECU but nothing that can help:(
If I understood well the "definition files" will help to access the ECU map and would cut the price down. As anyone got the definition files for the 2 litre ECU? or could get it?
So if anyone have the definition files or have other advice....bring it on...

A reply...thanks
Thanks....from what I have been reading, it is the same engine than the lancer (some connections are different, water...) but I think that the ECU is different, but I have no idea/knowledge on this....If it is the same, that should make this work a bit cheaper, as I am sure that this as been done on more than one occasion for the lancer. (I would think anyway!)
The shop that are going to do it for me told me that he can get the "definition files" from someone in Europe? but this does cost a bit of money....
I might check with Mitsubishi...

engine mod
As we are a bit poor regarding engine modifications, I have open a thread on an Australian ....Lancer....forum. Here is the link, have a look....

All input welcome...

I took a quick look at the thread if torque is what you're after
Claude - see if you can locate an adjustable cam gear (or pair of gears if your engine is DOHC), and experiment with shifting the cam timing forward (advanced) by a few degrees - no more than say 10* - what this will usually do is move the power band lower in the rpm range.
If it's a DOHC engine, advance both cams by the same amount and then see what effect retarding the exhaust cam does - advancing one & retading the other increases overlap, which if I 'm right can allow more top end power, but at the expense of driveability & fuel consumption.
mate im lookking at getting
mate im lookking at getting back into an io soon and would like info on this also . there was a 2.0 on here for sale that had a lot of work done at mrt at ryde nsw you could try there web site for info maybe or is it not the same motor as a lancer that could give you other options to chase the info
