Just wondering what everyone has done for fog lights in their iOs. OEMs, OEMs w/ different bulbs, aftermarket, if so, what did you get, pics?

Is it fog lights you're asking about or driving lights?

The fact that you are asking about different bulbs suggests that there is some confusion in your mind - fog lights and driving lights are very different things, and there is very little point to using different bulbs in your fog lights.

No, not really. I have the space for fog lights in my iO. I can get OEM, I can get some aftermarket ones, both halogen and LED. I was wondering who has what, how they like them.

Get halogen ...

Be warned,a lot of the aftermarket fog lights out there are absolute trash (the same goes for driving lights - but since that's not your interest I won't go into further details) this is one area where it's worth the while to pay for the recognized brand names - Hella & Bosch come to mind, if you can get OEM, I would recommend that.

For a fog light to be effecive it needs to have a wide beam angle and a very sharp horizontal cutoff - the idea is to not have the light reflected off of the fog, back into the driver's eyes - this is also the reason they are normally mounted low down.  True "fog lights" will offer a choice of white or what is known as "selective yellow", the majority of LED lights available are going to be "too white" (5000K and upwards) to be effective, and also lack that sharp horizontal cutoff.

OEM

buy OEM - infact search ebay in japan and germany and buy second hand OEM units - I purchased the last replacement one for $50.
Mitsubishi charge $250 for the glass alone.

seller "elady" on ebay is a good place to start - message them and they can source it for you

Yes, At this point, I was torn between a nice set of PIAA fog lights, or getting OEM with some PIAA yellow bulbs, like I have in my Legnum.
