Ford Falcon RTV Ute Sunraysia-style Steel Wheels

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but I believe that there is a reasonable chance that the RTV Ute steel wheel may fit on the Pajero iO.

I have been having trouble getting definitive information of this, so I am starting a thread in the hope that some other member may have access to facts that will allow us to know the answer for sure.

Here's what I think I know, to start the ball rolling:

The general belief seems to be that the offset of the RTV wheels is less than other (post AU) Falcon wheels.

Most members will know that, in the world of wheel dimensions, less positive offset moves the wheel outwards. It is an awkward system, because what most of us want to know is the "backspacing" (the distance from the hub mounting face to the inner tyre bead seat). The backspacing can be calculated from the offset, if you also know the rim width.

Compared with other Falcons, the RTV has a 30mm wider track measurement, believed to be bought about by different offset of the wheels. This would seem to make the offset measurement positive 21mm, but somebody else has stated that it is 24mm. The situation is made more complicated because the wheels seem to have been made in 6 1/2 inch, and 7 inch widths. The diameter is 16 inches. Earlier Falcon "Outback" utes had sunraysia-style wheels, but they were 15 inch and are unlikely to fit on a Pajero iO because the rim doesn't clear the brake caliper.

Someone needs to get their hands on one of these wheels, and read the measurements that they have stamped into them. Better still would be to try one on a Pajero iO. The standard tyre size is said to be 215/65R16 (the same as the standard tyre on a Pajero iO).
