Hello everyone.
Two months ago I looked for a daily drive to replace my old Honda Civic Wagon RT4WD,
and I found this 2001 Pinin 2.0 GDI, 176000 Km "broken down"
on a garage a few kilometers from home...
After talk with the owner, I won it for 2200€ rougir

I changed timing belt and tensioner, water pump, all filters : air, oil, gasoline,
air conditioning, irridium spark plugs, primary exhaust, front brake pads,
polish the head lights, cleaning air manifold and clos EGR pipe,
cleaning seats and carpets.

The engine works very great now clinOui

Next step, replace all steering ball joints and suspensions and arm bushes

Suspension lift : King Spring Coil Springs and Koni shocks absobers. I hope find them

Thank's to welcome this French Pinin angel

small world

I will translate for our fellow english speaking......

You live less than an hour drive to my sister in law:) in Ordan Laroque. There isn't GDI engine in Australia  (for the io) but for the rest of the car I do know it rather well, suspension included ! as well as many other on the forum.

Is your name Christian ? by any chance, with Tintin as a nick name.

Well done for your english writting ! Funny, another French member joint on the same day as you, with gear box problem.

Happy io

What a good surprise ! Yes

What a good surprise!

Yes Tintin is a nickname for a long time.
Since time of 27 MHz Citizen Band in 80-90 ,
then racetrack and off-road rally , so I kept it on the Internet .

Since 1989 , I only drive 4WD : Mitsubishi Pajero 2.3 TD Mitsubishi Pajero 2.5 TD,
Range Rover Vogue 2.5 TD 3.3 TD Nissan Patrol , Nissan Patrol 2.8 TD .
I've always repaired and upgraded engines and lift these trucks .
Some bikes also ...

Today, the garage is : 2005 Daihatsu Terios for my wife ,
1997 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ 80 for travel and hunting
and these new kid 2011 Mitsubishi Pinin 2.0 Gdi for daily drive.

I read some topics on the suspension , but is still not clear to me ...
I think I'll bother you several days ! ;)

See you soon. Gest Regards,

Jean Marc.
