I had this mad idea to remove the front bumper but then I read in the PDF manual that the headlight(s) has to come off.surprise  Really??????frown  Is it possible to pull it without messing with the headlights??  I did a forum search and found only one post!  It says they pulled the bumper in 15 mins.  Now that's my idea or removal.

Do it right, use Hammerite.

bumper removal

Yes it can be removed in 15 min, maybe less if you have done it before. You do not have to remove the headlight. From memory, you have a few fixation at the lower section, left and right (nothing in the middle) then a few more fixation at the top (in the middle this time). Some fixation are bolt, other are the plastic type. You have to remove the grill first using a small flat screwdriver to free the clips, carefull they are not very strong.

more fixation !

I forgot one...you have another extra bolt in each corner of the bumper. You will see them once you got the lower fixation out, as you will be able to move the black lining then.

Gave up

I gave up.  Got stuck right at the beginning; just couldn't seem to release the grille.  I found two clips at the front (one was broken) and could see two more recessed which didn't want to shift.angry Then it rained.frown

gave up !

You gave up because of the clips or the rain ...lol...

Just be gentle, take a torch to properly see. All the clips are the same, gentle pull and move the small tab on the plastic clip with a small screw driver....

I wish I could see it being done.wink

I tried for a while but if I don't get quick results I move on.  It looks like the clips on the slam panel at the ends of the grille are different from the ones in the middle.  I wish they had used screws.  If it stops hissing down I'll take a piccy.

The rain stopped me basically but I had other things to deal with;  one rusty outrigger where underseal was peeling.  I was going to return to the grille tugging after applying Jenolite but the rain then started and it has rained solidly since.angry

Little *$&%&%&$

Got the grille off! Four clips at the top but I have put  two into the spares box and one of those was already broken.  I am wondering why the grille has been off in the past. The top clips just needed depressing a bit.  To replace the grille I took those clips off the car and put them on the grille first.  Look at all the rust, wish I had bought a japanese import now.surprise Still it was dirt cheap.wink

Four along the bottom, used a long bladed driver to pop each one out just like door card poppers.

Damn rot box.
