Hi guys,

Just recently I've noticed Grinding/Humming/Rotating noise coming from under the floor.
It is probably coming from the Transmission as it does not occur when stopped.
I have not yet tried lifting the car and revving it.

The noise is only present when I am in 2WD and when swithched to 4WD it suddenly goes away.

The noise is not all the time there. I have noticed 2 instances where it will return or start.

1. When I press on the pedal a bit and maintain speed or press on the pedal a little bit more.

2. When I press the pedal hard but not flooring it.

I have also noticed that there was a slight reduction
in the power output when I tried going up a 45 degree ramp.
At the same time it was also making a noise, felt like
something in the transmission was slipping (pretty sure it was
not the wheels).

Please do let me know if you guys have ever experienced this and how you managed to fix it.

P.S. Please excuse my english as it is not my native language.

noise

I think that you have the automatic gearbox....

I am not sure what the noise could be from....may be the gearbox ??? with your low km (you said 53000km in past thread) it is surprising, but....

I would check the oil level first of the engine, gearbox and transfer case. Do you have strange burn smell ? old and/or damaged gearbox oil can do that. Maybe get the automatic gearbox serviced.

Again, not sure at all what it could be but the gearbox come to my mind....

Happy io
