Hi There, happy to be here. Owner of Pajero io 1986 1.8L for 10 years.

2 engine overhauls, replaced timing belt twice, replaced HP fuel pump, replaced fuel filter and suspension arms.

That 1996 is probably incorrect also...

As far as I'm aware the Pajero iO was first released to the market in mid 1998.

It's also interesting to note that you've done two overhauls in the last ten years - I'm just completeing my first on my iO, which is a 1998 1.8 GDI.

The second overhaul was necessitated by bent valves due to a stripped timing belt.
