Hi

 

I am Kimbo from Wellington, New Zealand.  Just brought a 3 door IO.  Would like to touch base with any other local owners re chin wag about the vehicles and modifications etc.

owned a hilux for 15 years the io is very different in so many ways I intend to take this pint sized 4wd out on the trails but I feel it could do with some mods first

Wellington io owners

Welcome Kimbo. Weird... for months I've been the only NZ based io owner here, now suddenly there's two others and they're both in Wellington also. I've got a few mods to my 99 5 door that you're welcome to check out some time - raised springs, lowered front diff/engine, mud tyres... I'm in Wellington during the day and live up the coast. Don

Greetings - i am the other newbie in wellington.  Wife has a five door 1.8 gdi IO import - my role in the ownership is to keep it on the road!.  I would be keen to catchup to discuss the finer points of IO ownership - occompanied by beer or coffee of course!

Hi Mark, I don't know that there are any fine points to io's and you really didn't have to make a point of telling us it's your wife's car, but any excuse for a beer.

Hey I'm here too! If your travels ever take you to Taupo, pop in for a yarn. Got a 3 dr for the missus to use, now she has to ask very nicely if she wants to use it!

They are awesome vehicles. I've owned 2 serious L Cruisers, but the IO is just serious fun.
