Hi looking for a sender unit for my io doesn’t seem to be reading correctly my fuel gauge seems to be dropping very quickly any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
what makes you think the problem is the gauge sender? why not the gauge? why not the wiring? why not a leak? why not excessive fuel consumption?
Typically fuel gauge systems (both the sender & the guage itself) either work or they don't work - they will either always indicate empty or full regardless of the actual level, so if yours is indicating a changing level, there is a VERY high probability the problem lies elsewhere.
So you're aware of it - the iO has two gauge senders, one for the main tank, and another for the aux tank, they are wired in series which can complicate fault diagnosis - you'll need to disconnect them from the circuit and test them separately. Remove the rear seat squab and you'll find two access ports, remove the covers and you can reach the wiring and if you so choose, remove the gauge senders for testing.
So - it's dropping faster than you expect ...
