When you find the answer

IF/when you find a supplier do share it here - I've tried cross referencing the part number(s) against those used on other Mitsubishi vehicles (and even matching the physical appearance against other makes), and so far I have yet to find a match - I'm not saying there isn't but if there is I haven't found one.

Also - the sensors tend to "sieze" in the knuckle and break if you attempt to remove them, so if you're going to go with a used one, you probably will need to change the knuckle..

Thanks much

That certainly looks like it - but waaay expensive!!  I'm not in the mood to find 85 sterling right now.

My iO is one of the early ABS ones - early ones have the LSPV, later ones don't - the difference is when the ABS shuts down the early one will act like it never had ABS and use the LSPV to prevent the rear wheels from locking up under heavy braking, later ones may  allow the rear wheels to lock.

I just rebuilt my brake calipers over the week end, the dust boot on the left caliper had a hole which I've known about from the time I bought the vehicle two years ago - the brakes worked, but, the hole meant that water could get in and corrode the piston, which would then cause the seal to fail.  It took me a while to track down the rebuild kits (ebay UK) and what triggered the actual rebuild is that we've had some localized flooding which has led to use of the vehicle in salt water a few inches deep.

And - yes Claude - I know - it is the brakes and should be fixed.  If it's any consolation, my now 21 year old is home for the summer, and driving the GV, which has fully functional non ABS brakes ;) so it stops as well as the iO (or vice versa)
