Gday everybody,
I put a deposit down on a 2001 iO, and upon roadworthy the horn has been found to not work.
Apparently it's a hard fix? I need an answer ASAP as to whether I should go ahead with the purchase (with a significant drop in price).

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

no horn - no airbag

the horn fails from two things:

* horn contact in the steering wheel won't ground when pressed - this can be an easy fix
* clock-spring has a failed contact - this likely affects airbag too

i've yet to pull my wheel off but when I do i'll be having a good look at the design of the horn contact

Nardi Torino does have airbags - this model came out as stock on several mitsubishi models - galant, pajero, pajero IO,

here's a pic of the pajero IO with Nardi Torino
