Replacing stereo in 99 io

Hey,

I'm new to posting on the forum so hello!

I've just bought a new stereo with bluetooth for my 99 io. I don't have a manual for the car and I can't work out how to access the stereo. Do I need to take the bottom centre consol out, gearstick cover and work my way up? Is the plastic held on by clips? I don't want to pull on anything to hard and break it.

Any help is much appreciated. Here is a photo of the existing unit.

Got it! 

I found a previous post saying that put your hands through the vents and tug. The facia is only held on by clips. Too easy!

Work in progress on my just acquired delapidated  2003 Vivo 11 Junior in need of TLC    

Do it right, use Hammerite.

Why simpify when it is simpler to complicate.

LOL When I do things like that I break stuff.sad

Hi... could you link to this post please? I'd also love pics.  Live in eternal fear of rattles so breaking any clips is not on lol.
