Throttle controller / enhancers
Hi All, I am exploring if there is a throttle enhancer for our IO's / Pinin's. (possible unit in the mail)
As we have fly by wire in the GDI versons.
To date I have discovered we have the same system as in the early big boy Pajero's namley the NM or NP models.
These have the same 8 pin throttle plugs and also the wiring diagram pinouts are also the same.
Has anyone tried this before?
I have used throttle controllers in other fly by wire vehicles with good results...
From making the throttle quicker to respond and also dampening it down in off road bumpy situations....
I have a unit on the way to try it out so will update when it arrives.

Controller arrived the other
Controller arrived the other day and the install was easy. Just plug and play.
Started Paj up and unit powered up with no ECU error lights etc etc....
Took her for a drive on Normal setting and she performed as factory...Sluggish, only chopped down a gear with big throttle input.
Adjusted controller to the setting for Automatic car in the controller menu....(there are a few) and wow it pulled away smooth and sharpe. No lag ... Nice and easy....
Gears change down much quicker and you didnt have to smash the pedal to get it to do it....
Felt much more like a modern fly by wire car...
The little 1.8GDI is a good responsive engine but is being held back with the ECU / throttle protocols...
So at this time it is a worth while mod..... changes the whole driving experiance ....
Plus you can set it to eco mode and reduce throttle responce for bumpy off road driving.... (Will test that one later)

Bit of an update..... Used it
Bit of an update.....
Used it off road, low range.... Oh its soooooo much better.
Good throttle responce and you can get her up in the rev range quickly when required.
No need to change the setting to eco mode.
Infact reacted much better with light throttle, like gently driving in low 1st down hill.
Used to flutter a bit and was all jerky.....
Now I can control the decent much smoother....
So I am a happy camper

Looking forward to the
Looking forward to the results, keep us posted!
I'm working on my IO project and I'm currently overhauling my turbo engine. After that I'll do suspension, paint job then I'll focus on engine probably so it'll be good to know if it's worth the buy
