So my car has been in pieces

So my car has been in pieces for a week now.

I killed the alternator 4wd last weekend, so today I installed a new one.  I have also pulled out the radiator and washed it out. (excuses the messy shed).

As you can see from the photo, I have removed the wheel arch to make way for the snorkel. :D

I have also been working on how to get a winch onto little Rex.  I have almost done it. :D  I have had to completely re-informed the Ali bullbar with steel.  Hopefully it is strong enough.

What mess :)

12000lbs, that should be just enough !...what is the weight of this beast ? 30/35 kg ?

What have you done to hold it in place ?

Happy io

Over kill

Hahah, yeah defitantly over kill with 12,000.  I got it off ebay cheap so I am happy.

It is about 30kg.

In behind the bullbar is some 2.5mm angle steel, along with a few brackets for extra strength.  The weakest part is the 6 bolts that attach it to the car, hopfully they hold.

I was hoping that Rex would

I was hoping that Rex would continue to an off-road animal, but the guy I sold it to clears trees from powerlines and needed something that could get him down some power line tracks, but he was not interested in 4wding really. :(  He now lives in Bendigo.
